I'm so back

Well, blogspot wasn't "available" in mainland, where I live these days, thus my absence for a while. What happened in the meantime - I left my once home country (the definition of "home" has become very diffused for me, for more details see the June/July 2007 post here with the text of the Dido song Life for Rent I was singing on leaving California). I went to Hong Kong, Macau, Doha, Istanbul, and then - went again to Hong Kong (see the shortly upcoming post).. And what happened in the mean-meanwhile - I tried to learn Chinese and setup my lab while settling down in Nanjing. All of these are still in progress though as they turned out much harder than anything even slightly resembling them in my existing experience, even for my innocent approach to them. Well, let's get started.
