Back in Hong Kong

As wonderful as the birds songs are the tones of the Cantonese language. My more sensitive for tones ears could catch the melody for sure. Well, obviously not that sensitive, as I needed an explanation that there are 9 (in some dialects - 11) tones in Cantonese.. (lovely, although not so nice sounding Mandarin with only 4 ones..)
At further sight, the once free, city-wide WiFi Internet access is now a thing from the past...
From the happenings:
Riding the longest elevator - in the world, that is! - 800 m to the 'Mid Levels.'
Flower Market (where my lens betrayed..), Bird Park, Fish Market, Ladies Market, Night Market.. (the last 2 are only remotely connected.)
Well...
My love for the city remains yet relatively uninhibited even with the commercialization of the until only 3 months back free WiFi Internet access and the shopping hassles.
I had to record much of the city beauty only in memory as the failed lens was the only one I carried until I finally figured out the merchants' jungle or rather avoided reasonably well the scam traps and luckied out to purchase a new lens in the last hours of my stay there...
So long, HK..
