TIBET 8 - Nancheng & beyond..

The caterpillar-selling market and business operations are very strong here. It's the Himalayan bat moth caterpillar Yarsagumba (Cordyceps sinensis) that has been invaded by a fungus that attracts the attention and vigorous trade of the males here. It's believed to be a powerful aphrodisiac and because it only grows above 3,500m above the sea level, and seems very precious by the attention it's given, 1 kg can fetch $10,000 in China.

The tibetan 'clinic' is equally agile however more modest in operation.

Small, remote monasteries carved in the mountain, with the name ' solitude' and ' meditation', along with the big ones in and around town (all big ones - works in progress).
People were strange here - half were on a perpetual: 'I love you' mode - for a greeting, and some of the rest half would not even return a greeting, with stony faces.
Oh, well, the Tibetan beach parties were fun, the second one, even excessively so..

Mud, land-slides and other, more severe, slides and obstacles along the way....
