Tibet - 4 Dzogchen and Om Mani Padme Hum She

Dzogchen - the most inspirational of all.
Stunned by the location and enchanted by the people, the place is wonderful!... High up in the mountain, just bellow a glacier valley.. A most important Nyingma School big monastery and another one in addition to the reincarnation of the prominent Śrī Siṃha Shedra* in and around. *Shedra - school/Univ.; the Śrī Siṃha Shedra was one of the numerous great Tibetan heritage objects destroyed in the bloody 1959.
Besides the wireless, satelite phones even at nomads' tents, high up in the mountain it looked like the village wasn't touched much by civilization.. There is no even public transport to it - the bus drops people on/off 1.5 kms away from the village, if it comes at all...
A few most blissful days with my Tibetan family, Dzogchen... so special in my heart.
and of course - the Om Mani Padme Hum.
(Tutangale, I'll call you soon so we could speak on the phone, just a little bit more Tibetan acquiring for me!!)
"There is not a single aspect of the eighty-four thousand sections of the Buddha's teachings which is not contained in Avalokiteshvara's six syllable mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum", and as such the qualities of the "mani" are praised again and again in the Sutras and Tantras.... Whether happy or sad, if we take the "mani" as our refuge, Chenrezig will never forsake us, spontaneous devotion will arise in our minds and the Great Vehicle will effortlessly be realized."
Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche -- Heart Treasure of the Enlightened Ones
BTW, Dzogchen stands for Great Perfection (or Great Completion) if someone ever wondered.
The lessons I got in loving-kindness there, were wonderfully and accordingly so.
