Going Surreal [St Petersburg, FL - 11]

Surreal dolphin absorbing inspiration in an ocean of dreams and fantasies, in front of the Dali's museum.

Standing before the real paintings, some of them miltiple times the human size, a new world unveils to me - much more intimate than that of seeing them in books, and it comes with a better understanding of [and closeness to??] the (surreal) genius' imaginary. Artistic bow to the miltilayered reality, broken into absurd -- and reassembled with masterity all the way back (or absurd recollected into pieces reality?) - of the double, triple, etc., in one, perfectly executed stupendous images.
These are by no means representattive, or the personal favorites, just a few nice ones I managed to snap under the noses of "no pictures!" guards.

One of my personal favorites (well, I'm a southerner and often have more than one favorite of most things..), however is The Meditative Rose, a rose, symbol of love is between the earth and heaven, unrooted and in the air anyway - in strong, warm and cold contrasting colors: ohra, yellow, red, and soothing blue, an open meditation indeed.

And guess what, I think I know the cotemporary Gala! - the perpetual inspirator to many, worshiped and painted in light, as a saint what she was not and all else to her.
