trying to fly -- or the art of bloody bd card postage

Head in the sky and heart beating too fast and eyes too slow. Unexpected take-off on a steep downhill. The flight took surprising looooong. Way up and forward, big time disregard of gravity. Then, there is always the down side...

Landed before the bike and its handlebar drew the picture with my own blood. The thought of "well done" quickly vanished as I sank into the pain of much more, extra, collateral damage to the limbs, etc. from the unequal exposed flesh & clothes vs. ground & metal toughness test.

If it doesn't kill you, try harder.
:)

Well, I posted that happy birthday card anyway as many before this time of August but will I ever know how it was received. I'd better keep to myself the art of the bloody birthday card postage.
